Imperial Oil Limited (IMO), a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation, explores, extracts, and commercializes crude oil and natural gas. Its Upstream segment produces synthetic oil, bitumen, and hydrocarbons, holding 386 million oil-equivalent barrels in proven reserves. Downstream operations refine and distribute products via pipelines, rail, and road, supplying 2,400 Esso and Mobil retail sites. The Chemical division manufactures petrochemicals. Founded in 1880, it is currently piloting lithium extraction.
